I think i'm gonna download the latest version. I can't submit a bug report because my computer doesn't have an internet connection. However the fact is i don't play mp3s a lot, most of my music collection is in videos, so that observation may not be totally accurate. Another thing is that it happens more while playing videos than mp3s. However, let it sit for some time and it will crash when i open the menu. If i open a menu early in the video, it opens up without problems. I have observed that it usually happens when i have been running a video for a long amount of time. This used to happen in the previous versions(2.1.1 or 2.1.0) as well. The more info they have the easier it will be to isolate and recreate the problem.īut Steam have still not been able to reproduce the crashes.I'm running version 2.1.2 RinceWind.

(Also, my music folder is a mix of MP3s, M4As, WAVs, and OGGs, if anyone's curious. I don't want to have to press the Windows key every time I wanna change the song manually on VLC Player or whatever. This is really annoying because I like using the built-in music player for playing my music in-game, so seeing it at risk of being removed is going to be disappointing. I did find out today that MP3 audio files have an easier time being played through the Steam Music Player, but at least one of them crashed while I tried it. I tried to rescan the albums and checked the music folder itself to make sure the songs were not corrupted or something, but it's was all perfectly fine except for Steam's Music Player. I would press Steam, and it would just 'restart' Steam as it were booting up after a new update, with the game ads and everything.
